Having the set of Sperhos, Code-a-pillars and a Snap Circuit set will allow for different structures of learning in my classroom. One way they will be used is as a STEM center. Students will be able to practice coding, design, and engineering. Students can design and implement different projects. They could collaborate on group findings by sharing through the cloud. I could download apps for various STEM practice skills for different centers, which would allow me to have activities for both my highest performing and most struggling students.
My project will make a difference because, as I said before, these students are the digital natives.
Our classrooms are not yet at the level technologically to meet their needs as learners. This grant will help to close that gap just a little bit more.
