Having magnetic letters and games to promote kinesthetic learning will help my students so much! We create high frequency words and phonetic words using manipulatives. Having enough letters for each student to build our words would help them each be engaged in learning.
They need to touch and move letters to create words as part of our balanced literacy approach.
My students also earn game time by coming to our class on time, working hard, and being prepared. My students need reinforcement with phonemic awareness and sequencing. The game time would best serve them with fun, engaging, but educational games that target our ESL standards.
