I teach in a small rural community. There are approximately 300 students in our Kindergarten through fourth grade building. We have four classes per grade level.
I enjoy the collaboration that happens within our kindergarten program. The kindergarten teachers work together on lesson plans, applying new strategies and adapting the curriculum to the new Common Core standards.
My class is an energetic group of students who are excited about learning. They especially enjoy reading in small groups and partner reading. In addition, they love working at center and math tubs.
The children are a joy to work with!
