My students come from low socio-economic communities. They are English Language Learners. My school is a TK-6 grade school. Our CST scores from 2013 were in the low 700 score; about 7 years ago that was a very good score to have but our district is looking for scores between 850-900. Our parents don't have the language, the materials, or the knowledge to help their students. The students' academic, not to mention social growth, weighs entirely on the teachers and supplies are just not available anymore.
