On the first day of school, my co-teacher Ms. Trapani and I read a letter to our class with the following introduction:
"Every child deserves a champion: an adult who never gives up on them.We would like to think of ourselves as a champion for kids. We love you.We trust you. We believe in you."
The driving force behind our passion is created by growth and learning within each of our students. Collectively, we are fueled by their desires to deepen their understanding of themselves and the world. Our seventh grade ICT classroom has a mixture of General and Special Education students. Our students learn best when they foster their social emotional learning through technology. Coupled with mastery of traditional skills, social emotional proficiency will equip students to succeed in our constantly evolving digital society. We want to personalize learning, engage the disengaged, and extend learning outside the classroom.
