My students are seventh and eighth graders in downtown Indianapolis. Our school is a science, technology, engineering and mathematics magnet effectively serving students who live in high poverty households. Ninety percent of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Through innovative programs, we are showing some of the most rapid growth in the state as measured by standardized test score improvement.
