My kindergarten classroom is located in Afton, Iowa. Our elementary is double section. Most of the students live in rural communities. Afton is a low socio-economic area. These students have a great deal of excitement about learning. As their teacher, I feel that it is very important to keep their excitement level high in order to help develop a love of learning. Kindergarten students are most engaged with their learning when when the activities involve hands-on learning. Literacy is an important area of education and kindergarten students are always so excited when they are finally able to read on their own. Resources are key to have in any classroom in order to ensure the best learning environment. My little learners are so excited about new resources and that excitement always leads to deeper learner!
