While using the wooden blocks the children become involved in physical, intellectual, creative, social emotional, and open-ended play.
My students are developing concepts on shape, size, balance, and contrast. They are developing their one-to-one correspondence, counting, matching, sorting, spatial relationships, grouping, classifying, problem-solving, and measurement skills in a fun but meaningful way.
They are learning to be creative and imaginative, while expressing themselves in unique ways. They will develop social skills because the will be sharing, compromising , and learning to collaborate with each other.
Working with wooden blocks make difficult concepts easier. My students will have multiple opportunities for success while working with the blocks.
