My students are a very diverse group of learners. They show me each day what it means to persevere and I enjoy learning from them as I teach them.
We are in a Title 1 school, where about 85% of students are living at or below the poverty line. About 95% of our students receive free or reduced meals. Many families struggle to provide the basic needs of their children, but their support and care is evident.
Many students have limited opportunities at home to interact with technology. Some students do not even have a computer at home, which is a big difference from many students in the area. No matter what, my students come in each day with an eagerness to learn that is hard to match!
