In this challenging time, I need my students to have a personal connection to music, and I don't mean just hearing music on YouTube or TikTok. Music helps all people to cope with feelings of sadness, fear, loneliness and happiness, just to name a few.
It can be very frustrating for both student and teacher to learn an instrument at school and then have to stop creating music due to the school instruments being prohibitively expensive for my families to purchase. A simple guitar can be $100 or more. A drum set... Who knows?
These ukuleles are inexpensive which helps my student's families have a better chance of purchasing one for the children to carry on creating music even after the lessons are finished at school.
