My students have a deep hunger for books! They take full advantage of the time they get to read independently in class and enjoy discussing what they have read. I hope to expand my classroom library so they have access to more titles.
If this project is funded my students will have new titles to get them even more excited about reading. With increased titles their reading stamina should increase, leading to higher fluency and better comprehension of all texts.
Reading experts suggest that a classroom library has 1000 texts, and this would bring our classroom closer to this goal.
