My students are the kindest, sweetest, and most generous second graders. They are hungry to learn and to achieve. They come from homes that do not always have food to eat, clean clothes to wear, or any homes at all. They live with aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, etc. They still come to school with a positive outlook and a willingness to learn, despite their economic situations.
