Students worked individually and then we analyzed the problems through a whole group discussion. For the whole group discussion, the problem is going to be projected on the screen from my computer through the document reader. Students compare their findings with the model provided. Students have to come up with multiple representations for the problem. Also, they have to answer the questions I pose for them. They share their thinking with the entire group through a reciprocal learning model, where all voices are equitable in each others’ learning, not just the teacher. Some of the students pose their own questions based on the model presented. in addition, they share their observations and wonderings in order to make the conjecture and generalize the idea posed in the problem.
