STEM-Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, OH MY! My students would benefit greatly from Ozobots. For those of you wondering, "What is an Ozobot?" An Ozobot is a mini robot (approximately one inch) that opens children's minds to computer science, STEM education, robotics, coding, and so much more. I would use the Ozobots in my classroom to help students think critically and creatively, as well as work in collaborative groups. I am hoping using Ozobots will help create the next generation of critical thinkers and innovators.
One of my main purposes for introducing STEM education through Ozobots is to show my students the endless occupations in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematic--these professions are on the rise. Through STEM and Ozobots, I am hoping to bridge the ethnic and gender gaps found in the fields of science and mathematics.
I cannot wait to see the expressions on my students' faces when they realize what they can accomplish. I am hoping that they realize that they can become scientists, computer programmers, engineers, and even mathematicians.
