My 4th grade students can benefit from tables in multiple ways. One way that tables could benefit would be in assisting us in the space of the classroom. We are only able to arrange our desks in certain ways due to the size of the room. Teaching math, I do a lot of small group centers and the tables would provide a better place for materials. I also do quite a bit of small group teaching where I can call students to a table for extra practice. This could provide the table and I could go to the students group to assist or demonstrate using manipulatives.
