Our school is a Title 1 school high poverty and a high population of students who speak another language as their home language. 100% of our students receive free and reduced lunch! Because of the language challenge, science is a huge challenge. Getting the students to immerse themselves in the science as they speak and learn English is an awesome opportunity for them. Since they are a minority they are often categorized as not being able to do 'that"! I know these students are capable of outstanding accomplishments if just given the tools!
