My students already have been introduced to drumming in general, and so our next step is World Music Drumming. However, we cannot take this next step without the necessary drums and other percussion instruments.
By using World Music Drumming, I hope to help my students improve in the following areas: communication and listening, cooperative teamwork, and respect for others. They will also be learning about different cultures (specifically African and Latin-American cultures) as we learn about the various instruments and compositions used in World Music Drumming.
These resources will give them hands-on experience, which will in turn help them to internalize the concepts taught through World Music Drumming.
