Our school is located in a very small community in Louisiana. It is a Title I school. Each student learns differently and art will give them all an opportunity to shine. I would like to offer them an inquiry-based art approach by embedding art into reading and science activities, so my students can explore their creativity and critical thinking skills. Children love art and what better way to learn about landscapes, trees and the rainbow of colors nature has to offer than through art. I want them to share their learning with their friends when they finish their projects to nurture their confidence. Whenever children share art the expression on their face is priceless, no matter what their master piece looks like. It inspires them to use the new academic vocabulary naturally and express their knowledge of the new concepts they are learning.
