My first graders are beginning their journey to a life long road of learning. Our school has many boys and girls whose families struggle to find work, feed their families, and find basic needs. The time I get with them to build their educational foundation is crucial for them to have a positive experience to help encourage their continued excitement to learn. Our time as a class is also precious for it may be the only time they get positive adult attention. One of the best ways to get this is reading books to a child.

About my class
