My students are faced with the challenge of not having many experiences outside of school or their neighborhoods. My school is a Title I school with low parental involvement. Many of the parents want to help their children succeed academically, but are not equipped with the tools to do so. Although the students live in a low income area, I see can see the motivation many of them have to become high achievers.
