Having legos in my classroom will be a great benefit. It will help students to be engaged in the curriculum because LEGOs incorporate hands-on learning. The LEGOs will help to increase students' creativity by helping them to "act out" stories, solve problems and predict outcomes. LEGOs will help give students a concrete picture of abstract ideas that are presented in all academic areas.
LEGOs will offer a therapeutic component where students can use their hands to learn such as through counting, making patterns, they can be used for step by step directions and for creating stories. They can also be used as an incentive to reinforce learning.
