So we all know with it being 2018, realistically, what 5 or 6 year old doesn’t like being on a tablet? What they don’t know is, in my class, I’m secretly using that fun and exciting technology to help them practice phonics, build math sense with creative games, and help them explore the world around them with entertaining (but relevant) videos. Knowing that some of my kiddos can’t access some of these resources at home, I want to provide that for them here at school! The Kindle Fire kids edition tablets are ideal for my Kindergartners because they are easy to operate, come with a damage proof case, and gives them access to many online resources that they can use during learning stations. With the Lil Gadgets headphones, I can link up to 4 students at a time on one tablet to work on group assignments, or let them partner up and play interactive literacy and math games. I am trying to give my students all of the resources they need to develop 21st century skills! With your donation, you are giving them the opportunity to collaborate with each other, and expand their digital literacy.
