All of my kindergarten students come into my classroom ready and excited to learn. They are just learning their numbers and how to count. By the end of the year they are adding and subtracting and counting to 100. They make remarkable progress. But it is a difficult task for many. Our district serves many students who receive free lunch, who lack an understanding of the English language, and have limited resources at home. Therefore, they enjoy exploring a variety of materials and activities in our classroom. We expect great things from our students and they work very hard to achieve them.
