Organization is key in a second grade classroom. For second graders, it is very important for them to gain independence and be responsible for their own materials.
These mailboxes will allow my students with a designated area for all of their important notices and other supplies that must go home daily. These mailboxes will house their daily notices, homework folders, new homework packets, and book baggies (bags that are filled with books on their reading level that go to and from their homes).
It is crucial that these mailboxes are sturdy, to ensure that it will stay in tact throughout the entire school year to allow continued success from all of my students.
