I teach 6th grade, The kids that I teach have some of the kindest hearts you could ever come across. We are a title 1 school and 50% of the students are on free lunch. I do the best I can to help out my school. I take pride in this school and in these children. Over my 26 years of teaching I have watched many children grow up and I've seen how my impact and the impact of fellow teachers can actually help the parents grow up as well.
Our school teachers are very dedicated. We are given very little funds and yet we make it work. I am more than willing to spend the time and give the talents but I am unable to afford all the things necessary to afford these children an education equable to other schools.
My kids minds are all still so capable. The enrichment I afford them now will give them the advantage later and allow them out of the poverty they were unfairly born into.
