My students are happy children who feel safe, and excited to come to school. Our school is the heart of our community. Each child is greeted in the morning by name as he or she enters the school. Our school is, for many of them, their place of peace.
My students have big hopes and dreams for their futures and want to learn. Each child in my class feels valued and important. They count on me to deliver lessons that challenge them as individuals - and as a team. I work hard to ensure that all my students are working at their own ability level.
If you were to visit our classroom, you would see how music and movement is used seamlessly throughout our day. My students and I use music for the purpose of unifying and building community, as well as for teaching and learning.
