I have the most amazing students. They are 9-12 graders. Beginning theater to advanced theater, beginning choir to a Capella ensembles that tour to New York City. They are in my fall plays as actors or in my winter musicals as lighting technicians. I am so lucky to get to keep many of them for all four years. They bring their siblings to me and it becomes a family tradition to be in my program. They are so dedicated not only to singing and acting but to each other. They each lunch in my room or on the grassy knoll in front of my room. They take care of one another. They spend more hours in my room and the theater some months when it is fall play or winter musical time than they do at home.
They inspire and educate me everyday. They make me a better human being. They live through hardships that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy and yet they come to my class everyday hungry to work hard and dedicate themselves to the group. My students are simply put...wonderful.
