My students are great students who work hard. A lot of my students were also effected by Hurricane Harvey. Even though they are having a tougher year with their outside life, they still deserve the best in school. Having a Microsoft Surface tablet can really help out with the technology in the classroom.
Students learn more when they are engaged and have the opportunity to be hands on. The Microsoft Surface is compatible with our projector in the classroom. So when we are learning a lesson and taking notes, I can walk around the classroom with the device and make notes with the students. If they have specific questions they can have the device in their hands and work it. It can also be a document camera. When the student are doing work on their papers, the device can be a doc camera and show the students work.
I would also be able to plan lessons that use the technology. For example, if we are talking about the relationship of the angles and sides of a triangle, my students could have a station where they are on the tablet and seeing hands on the relationship by exploring with the technology. The Surface Pro can make a difference with my students learning because it will give them more opportunity to participate and show their work. I will also be able to have more engaging experiences where the students can explore their lesson.
