Having a carpet for children to gather as a group will encourage partner learning which leads to becoming able to work together to solve problems. It will enable students to work with manipulatives that foster learning and also help develop comprehension and expand vocabulary by listening and discussing stories read to them. Children need a place on floor to exercise and play. Plus, it will make our classroom look homey and inviting. I plan to put the carpet directly in front of the chalkboard so students can interact as I write on the chalkboard. They will have the opportunity to come up and take part in a lesson .
