"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." - Dr. Seuss
My classroom is made up of 12 Special Education students. All receive free lunch services and have minimal access to resources outside the classroom.
Our school is made up of over 600 students who are eager to learn, and deserve the best education. We are part of a large, urban, diverse district in the Northeast. Our student body is diverse with many of our students being first generation immigrants, or immigrants themselves. Many of our students are English Language Learners.
Combine a Learning Disability, being an English Language Learner, and a lack of quality resources outside the classroom, and our students' needs will not be met.
