My students are amazing, talented, witty and enthusiastic! We are at a Title 1 school in an agriculturally based community in central CA. We are newly emerging into really integrating technology into our everyday academic routines because these students are growing up in a world controlled and saturated by technology. The school is 90 years old this year and so you can imagine some of the challenges the District and Administration face with bringing it up to current times in order to support the students with the necessary technological devices and resources. Our students are strong, empowered, speak their minds and have great personalities and enjoy laughing. They really become engaged when they are given the chance to use the technology that we do have for them at the school. Currently, our school does have a computer lab which we get to use for 30 minutes a week. My class consists of 34 fifth graders. We also just received 8 Chromebooks (1 for every 4 students) in our class.
