My school is at a high poverty rate. Forty percent of the students qualify for free or reduced lunch. Ruby Payne states, "Almost all children of poverty rely on kinesthetic strengths for learning." Many of the students lack the resources at home that they need to be successful. They need encouragement from the school to show them that learning can be enjoyable. Adding these exercise balls to my classroom will get the students energized and pumped up about their education.
