I teach fourth grade. My students come from a variety of backgrounds. Some are enriched and others are still seeking. At a time when funding is critical budget cuts have taken away so much from our schools. I am trying to keep art alive. We are a trauma sensitive school and I believe the importance to offering art to students is invaluable. I do weekly art projects with my students always mixing up mediums and styles. I expose them to artists and styles as well as music. I want them to leave me with a foundation as well as an outlet.
