82% of my school's population receives free or reduced lunch and 46% of the students are English Language Learners. I have a diverse classroom of 24 students. About 3/4 of my students are below grade level in reading. Very few of my students have access to books at home. Students are able to check out and borrow classroom books. They will have more time reading good fit books, a growing vocabulary, their reading levels and fluency will improve.
