I teach high school at a business themed career academy and my students are taking an application based government course. While it is very important for the students to all understand the basic functions of the government, it is even more important that they understand how government decisions impact their individual lives every day.
With the help of these donations, my students will be able learn how government actions impact our daily financial markets. This stock market simulation will enable student teams to work together and purchase stocks in real time. They will bring together knowledge of current events, government regulations, and financial literacy, in order to make sound economic decisions on their stock portfolios.
