This carpet would make a tremendous difference in the functionality of our classroom. We meet as a group for our morning meeting and for every whole group lesson. It is often difficult for my second graders to transition to the front of the room without a specific place to sit.
This carpet will provide a central location where we can share, listen, and learn as a collaborative group. There would be less focus on where to sit and more focus on participating. Having a specific spot to sit also helps when turning and talking to a partner.
I want my students to feel welcome and comfortable throughout all parts of the day. I love how this carpet is designed and truly believe it will support the vision I have for my second graders- to learn and succeed as a classroom community!
