Board games teach important school readiness skills such as communicating verbally when they use their home and second language, strengthening muscles and coordination by sharing and manipulating game pieces, waiting to roll the dice or spin a spinner, taking turns, and enjoying interaction with their peers and family. Board games that are exciting and enjoyable can foster our students' attention span.
Board games allow our students to continue being the imaginative, energetic, super humans they are accustomed to being. They create their own rules and even design their own games. The board games I am requesting can help our students learn that there are boundaries within which we must live and rules to follow within society.
