My school has several English Language Learners and all of the students that attend receive free or reduced price lunch. Our entire school is college driven. In fact, each classroom has a college assigned to them and students will wear their college shirts on Fridays. Many of my students have not been able to experience the world around them. I want them to be able to learn with hands on materials where students will become motivated to learn. Also, this can spark students interest for a future career in science. All of my students came to me without knowing what science is. Having these materials will allow my students to experience science in a fun but interactive way.
