The resources I am asking for will make a huge difference in my classroom. Often kids are expected to sit in their uncomfortable chairs at their desks for more than 5-6 hours each day. During instruction and work time both, students would benefit from using various sensory tools such as hand fidgets, pencil grips (for students with writing difficulties), seat cushions (for the wiggle worms) and wobble chairs (for our small group work table). Wobble chairs are designed to support students with ADHD, because they provide a physical challenge and opportunity to release energy while simultaneously working. All of my students would have equal access to these amazing tools and would be so grateful!
My students would love the opportunity to get their wiggles out during instruction time without disrupting the entire class.
Some students will benefit from these tools more than others, however, these are the kids that really need the extra support to reach their full potential. Thank you for considering to help improve my classroom and make learning more accessible for ALL students!
