My second grade kiddos have a spectrum of reading needs. This project will not only allow my kids to choose their own just right books, but it will also allow them to read with their families at home. Giving students a choice in their books adds to the personal ownership and responsibility of true reading. Often my kiddos do not have books at home. This project will allow them to create one-on-one time with their family. It also allows them to be independent with their reading and build reading confidence! We all know the key to an equitable successful education is reading!
