My students live in a low economic status area. Many of my students crave love and attention at school. My classroom offers them consistency, safety, love, and compassion. My students love being read to. They see where stories can take them and the joy that reading can bring them.
I am constantly trying to make reading instruction fun, engaging, and meaningful. I want my students to enjoy reading as much as I do. These leveled books would entice my students to learn to love reading. Additionally, it will help them to become confident independent readers.
