My students are full of life! Each of them have unique experiences and stories they are itching to tell about. Their excitement to contribute can be tough to manage at times but they are invested in personal growth. Our theme is Global Citizens and travelers who care about everyone in the world and yearn to go to far places to have meaningful experiences. My students love to hear about my travels and how my adventures could become their own. Each bell of students has a unique atmosphere where we preach individual responsibility (as Captains of our crew) as much as working as a team (as nations and as ships). Our school has an amazing community surrounding it that understands our students' limitations and needs and strives to contribute to the basic necessities such as food and supplies for our almost 500 students. The basic supplies they provided for teachers have been amazing but not nearly enough to really provide my students with a sturdy place to call home!
