Support Mrs. Dille's classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
Students love to read when they are younger and it seems like that passion changes over their educational careers. I want to bring that love of reading back to the classroom by giving students autonomy and a choice as to what they want to read. By giving them more choices, they feel in control of their reading which brings back the joy of literature. I want to build an in class library for my students to use for independent reading projects. An in class library fosters a love of reading and a community of students who share the same interests. I have selected multiple titles to cover all student interests such as Ready Player One, East of Eden, Unbroken, Frankenstein, Orphan Train Girl, Lion, All the Light We Cannot See, Huckleberry Finn, and King Author Knights of the Round Table. All books will give the students a chance to select their choice of reading per grading term, and they will conduct literature circles once per week to discuss the reading and complete projects.
