I teach at a school that is considered low income for the state of Iowa. It can be hard for some of my student's parents to afford school supplies. Quite a few are free or reduced lunch. Our school emphasizes small class size which is great for the students. My students come in with differing interests and abilities. Some will know all of their letters and some will know just a few. That is why it is important to have many different learning activities planned. Differentiation is important to me and my school district.
