My students are learning the functional skills needed to become as independent as possible once they leave high school. They are a group of students who are in special education and are striving to be able to function independently in the community, at jobs, and living on their own once they leave high school. They are the most amazing students and work hard when they have access to the materials they need and obtain experiences they might not get when they are at home. Our school has 97% free and reduced lunch and we have many students who are homeless and/or highly mobile.
