The library is the heart of my school and my classroom. All students come to the library once a month for lessons on how to conduct research ethically and effectively and how to use the library resources to successfully complete assignments.
My students come from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. More than 60% of my students are on free or reduced lunch, and over one hundred ELL students attend my school.
My students are funny, intuitive, curious, and energetic. They are tech-savvy and enjoy viewing and using technology. I am committed to helping my students achieve academically, become life-long readers and learners, and to helping them live healthy, productive lives.
Aside from computers and LCD projectors, my students do not have access to other technology at school. Title I and school funds are used for other resources, and the scarce library funds I receive are used for books.
My students need access to other types of technology to meet their academic needs.
