My students are incredible deserving kids. My school is actually a turn around school, which means that academically it was one of the lowest in the state. Now they have brought in entire new staff and funding for new books and programs. However there is no more money for school supplies, teachers are on their own for this one. The school has hired 40 new teachers, which is fabulous, a brand new team with all the same intentions. My students come from diverse background and have trouble with attendance and academics. My biggest goal is to get this kids to WANT to come to school. I want to teach them that they are valued and important and that there are teachers now that support them and their dreams. I plan to be extremely hands-on in the classroom. I want students up and moving constantly and playing educational games. All of my lessons are well thought out with the students academic needs in mind.
