I have the privilege of teaching a very diverse and AMAZING group of students. I want to have a classroom library that reflects them! These books will help provide a look into characters that come from diverse cultures, families, backgrounds, and disabilities. I want my students to see themselves in the books they read! Our classroom is a family. We need literature that will help us learn and relate to every member of our class. Students need access to diverse books so they can make sense of the diverse world around them. I believe the books I have chosen are a great start to teaching my students about diversity and the importance of accepting each other!
