Research shows that each of us has a particular learning style in which we utilize for taking in new information. Flexible seating is a huge part of our learning styles. Some of us prefer formal seating such as the traditional desk and chair but many others of us prefer to lounge in the floor or sit at a table but lower to the floor for seating. My vision is a classroom that mimics our own living room environment; children at desks, low and high tables, the floor, bounce chairs, pillows with clip boards, etc.
