This upcoming school year, I will teach a diverse group of 2nd graders. I teach at a Title I school where 43% of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch. Despite some of the challenges our school population faces, the students love coming to school to learn, take risks, and to inquire. This is my 6th year teaching, but my first year at my school and district. As a new teacher in the area, I am in need of many classroom supplies, specifically books! I am looking to grow our classroom library with quality and engaging books for all types of readers. In supplying students with more books, my students will fall in love with reading as well as become more independent readers.
